Chandra was very helpful and responsive and we have a nice stay! The apartment was lovely. Everything worked well and felt very clean. While the apartment itself smelled and felt great, I would say the building's shared hallway and entry/stairwell did feel a bit grimy and had a very strong foul odor. I don't think this had anything to do with Chandra or something she can control. But it was definitely off putting for me especially since the apartment is on the 4th floor and we had to spend a decent amount of time in the stairwell every day going up and down with no elevator. Also, Chandra was very up front about this, but the stairs are extremely narrow and windy and creaky. While not easy with luggage, my daughter and I were fine, but it was a challenge for my older mother. Just something to keep in mind when booking. Lastly, the neighborhood was nicely convenient to a T station with the orange line which was great. However, we didn't feel comfortable walking around after dark.
Chandra’s place was great. Clean, cute, quiet, and we felt safe. I’d recommend staying here. My main issue was the location because the closest metro line was down while we visited so we had to Uber everywhere. It’s a bit out of the way from the main attractions but I loved that there were shops and restaurants within a 10 min walk away. The sofa bed was very comfortable too!
I had an amazing stay with my family at Chandra's place. The place is very well equipped, clean, quiet, and cozy. Chandra is very responsive and the access was quite easy. Would highly recommend!
Located in the Historic Fort Hill neighborhood that dates back to the 1630's. It is a beautiful walking tour of architecture, culture and history. The neighborhood is a charming mix of local families, young professionals and college students. There are several must see parks in the neighborhood including Roxbury Heritage State Park and Fort Hill Park providing scenic views and rich history. You'll find community gardens and locals moving with the seasons. A short 10-15 minute walk to world class museums, medical institutions, dinning, shopping and entertainment - you can live like a local in an amazing city!
All guests will receive a list of recommended local favorite dinning spots and a general lay of the land. For outdoor enthusiasts, you are a five minute walk to a Hubway bike sharing station ($6 per day) located on the protected Southwest Corridor Bike and JoggingTrail.
The apartment is about a 15 minute drive from the airport. About five minute walk (4 blocks) to the Orange Line Roxbury Crossing T station. There is limited 2 hour visitor parking but please read signs carefully. I'll send detail information about parking options. There is no dedicated parking but the home is in a great location to explore Boston using public transportation.
The apartment is in a historic brownstone on the 4th floor. The stairs are narrow so keep that in mind when packing. There is no elevator. The unit has a private roof deck that is accessible from inside the apartment and is steep so use caution. The views of the city are spectacular and worth the climb.
