I’ve gone back-and-forth about writing this review. I really don’t like to complain, but a lot of the issues we experienced have been going on for quite some time. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews until afterwards. Holes in the walls. The toilet upstairs, which is the only one you do not share with a business below, is not working and hasn’t been working according to old reviews. Blinds and ceiling fan falling down in the master. The beautiful outdoor furniture that is pictured on the listing looks like it has been mauled by a raccoon. All of the cushions and pillows are missing half of the fabric and what remains is filthy and flaps in the wind. Dishwasher doesn’t work. Cabinetry doors are either missing or will not close. I guess what I don’t appreciate is that Matthew knows these have been issues for a long long time and he is choosing to ignore them. I mean one toilet not working for a place that supposedly sleeps eight is a huge deal.

We loved our stay at Matt’s loft! It was in the perfect location, which we felt very safe walking around day and night as a group of girls. Matt let us know ahead of time that the keypad on the door wasn’t working and how we could get inside and lock up the unit. He was very responsive when there was confusion about the keys provided. Check in was very easy, and we appreciated that he kept us informed of the cleaning crew’s timeline to ensure we could get in to the loft when we arrived in the city. The unit itself had lots of space and was very clean. The main bathroom being upstairs was a little tricky, but it wasn’t a huge deal for us. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows, making everyone feel very comfortable. As other reviews said, I would say this unit comfortably sleeps 7, as the downstairs couch isn’t a mattress - it is more like a futon and would be suitable for 1 person. However, the upstairs pull out couch was very spacious and comfortable.

Can’t beat the price and location! Beautiful place to stay and incredibly helpful host. One toilet was not functioning, but the host tried to get a plumber out to fix it. Unfortunately with it being a holiday weekend it was not able to be fixed for our stay, but he tried to get this fixed and it just didn’t work out. Would stay again!
