Although this area isn't in the central areas of SF it's close to the Golden Gate Park which is a delight to walk through when it is so convenient. The bus stops right outside so getting places is easy too. I enjoyed the calm area but the road right outside is very busy although that isn't a problem for me. The house is big and clean and it's easy getting in and out as well as getting Amazon packages delivered. I would consider staying again!

Had a great experience staying here. Gangqin was very kind and a responsive host always replying to my messages in a few hours. I stayed for a few months and the place was set up very well for a long-term stay. The room is very large so you have a big private space. Shared bathroom and kitchen were always clean and other guests were friendly and respectful. The location was fantastic as well, a couple blocks from Golden Gate park and public transport that takes you to the beach in <20 minutes and downtown in <30 minutes. Close to some restaurants as well. Only things to be aware of are road noise from a busy street and no living room in the house. Personally I didn't find any of these to be an issue even with a long term stay. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay for a few months, I don't think you can do much better than this place!

Great stay, host is very responsive and has someone clean weekly. There was a few ants, but otherwise no bugs or issues. There is a washer and dryer downstairs, you have to pay with quarters but it is convenient that you don’t have to go elsewhere to do your laundry. The current roommates were nice. The only issue I had was sometimes the roommates didn’t clean the kitchen well after themselves, but this is not the fault of the host. As I mentioned before she did send someone to clean the entire place weekly. The bed was soooo comfortable, I miss it already. The host gives you towels so no need to bring your own. I was here for 3 months. The host is very reasonable and makes it as easy as can be. For the price and location it was great, I felt safe at all times. It is on a busy road so I would bring earplugs, but other than that it was great. Free street parking, my car was never damaged.

My stay at Gangquin's was mostly positive. The price point was great and the access to the Muni train line to downtown is very convenient. In addition, if you're into Asian cuisine, you won't find a much better spot than the Sunset district on Irving so that was nice. Favorite perk was probably the full size fridge right in your room! A couple of notes for prospective tenants: - This is a shared space, so there are 3 other tenants. I did have issue with one of the tenant's noise level but Gangquin was quick to resolve. Toward the end, same tenant used my razor...so had to throw that away. Make sure to take your toiletries back to your room - Room A where I stayed is quite loud from street noise, particularly in the morning since 19th is a common commuter highway. This didn't bother me as I'm used to living in the city, but for those visiting and unaccustomed, I'd bring ear plugs - Not much in terms of cookware, so a better location for people who tend to order in a lot
