We love the history of the building and the many hats it wore, (e.g. a paper factory circa 1905 and rag trade offices in the 80’s). At over 150 sqm it is a CBD rarity due to the spaciousness and high ceilings. It is also a 1⁄2 floor apartment, a distinct true warehouse and its features give the place so much character along with the solid timber hardwood floors, exposed red brick and the original solid timber columns. FEATURES Spacious converted warehouse of approximately 160 m2 Two comfortable queen-size beds Two bathrooms including a large spa Air-conditioning Coffee Machine Fully-equipped kitchen Dedicated desk area Large 43” UHD Smart TV with free Netflix Full HD 40” Smart TV in main bedroom We have always sanitised our beds, carpets & soft furnishings regularly RATE INCLUSIONS Utilities (water, electricity, gas, internet) All linen and towels Washing Machine and Clothes Dryer 24/7 check-in service* with full induction of apartment and building facilities Rates allow for up to 4 people in the two queen beds Pets are allowed for a small extra charge Interim clean services can be arranged for a fee All tea, coffee, toiletries, washing and cleaning products and other welcome supplies can be found in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. You will need to purchase more of these consumables if you need them for the rest of your stay. Car parking is available nearby for a small fee for stays of 10 nights or more - monthly rates are reasonable. DESCRIPTION This is an individual apartment in a heritage, converted warehouse. There is only one other apartment on the floor, and is accessed via a secure entrance with intercom. You can then either take the elevator or striking industrial central staircase to the apartment on level 2. Perfect for four, this historic warehouse with its handsome Edwardian façade was built in the 1840’s, was a paper factory circa 1905 and rag trade offices in the 80’s. It was finally converted in 1998 as part of a boutique block of only 11 apartments. Its true warehouse features are characterised by its original exposed red brick walls, lofty ceilings, exposed structural beams and polished original timber floors. The apartment welcomes you with a large, tiled entrance foyer before blending into a spacious open plan living zone. It has a generous sized, stunning designer kitchen with vast amounts of cupboard space & SMEG appliances. The carpeted main bedroom has a unique, glass brick window, a large WIR & ensuite fitted with a large spa bath & double shower. The apartment has been professionally decorated with artistic furnishings and décor, and it has a spacious yet very cosy feel to it. Overlooking Bond St below, it is easy to feel like you are in the heart of a bustling, exciting city, yet tucked away in your own hideaway. Recent improvements as of September 2022 include extensive, internal sound-proofing and double glazing, to ensure a peaceful stay, and a 24-hour hot water service, so you'll never run out of hot water. If you are a light sleeper though, or if some background noise in the evenings will annoy you, it may not be the best property for you. We do have almost 30 different options to choose from, on the StayCentral site, if you think this one may not work for you. Note from the owner We knew we had to buy this apartment when we saw it, and have never regretted calling it ours. The location was perfect for us with the Elizabeth and Flinders Street trams mere meters away along with Flinders Street Station. We furnished and decorated the apartment with the respect it deserves, and hope you enjoy it as much as we know you will. Location This warehouse conversion is well located to enjoy Melbourne, only a very short stroll to the trams in Flinders and Elizabeth Streets, and the trains at the famous Flinders St Station. It is surrounded by bustling inner CBD streets, with their cafes, restaurants, theatres, sporting venues, tourist attractions galore, shops, supermarkets and wine bars. Degreaves Lane, the Block Arcade cafes and Collins St shopping and are only short walk away Nearby parks include Enterprize Park, Batman Park, Queen Victoria Gardens, Treasury Gardens and Flagstaff Gardens. It is only a short walk to Chinatown, Melbourne Central shopping centre, the Bourke Street Mall, Carlton Gardens and Melbourne Museum/IMAX theatre and the aquarium are all close by. There are many local attractions which are an easy walk or a very quick tram ride away: Guest Interaction We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site from our greeters, once your booking is confirmed. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We always check with you within 24 hours of arrival to make sure that everything is okay, but we are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day.A compendium with full instructions and local information is supplied in all of our apartments. Full directions & instructions on how to access your apartment will be provided once your booking is confirmed with StayCentral. GOOD TO KNOW PLEASE NOTE OUR MINIMUM STAYS REQUIREMENTS BELOW: Many sites only allow us to show one rate, so we need to clarify our booking rules here. Within 30 days, the minimum stay is 3 nights 30 days or more in advance, the min stay is 7 nights 90 days or more in advance, the min stay is 28 nights We won't be able to accept bookings that do not meet the above criteria. Grand Prix, Australian Open and Christmas stays are 7 NIGHTS minimum. Airbnb cannot show our discounted rates for stays of 7 nights or more, so please. LATE ARRIVALS For guests arriving between 22:00 and 08:00 there is a late arrival fee of $100.00 For no shows, there is a no show fee of $100 For Public Holiday arrivals, there is an extra surcharge of $50 We send you instructions on how to collect your keys on site once your booking is confirmed, and your security deposit is processed; a week before arrival. Our office is remote from the apartment, so we communicate by phone or email. We are available by phone and email for extended office hours every day. DIRECT CONTACT: We ask you to provide your direct email address, or we cannot guarantee the Arrival Instructions can be delivered with functioning links and QR codes (for Wi-Fi etc) We will also need the mobile number that will be contactable on the arrival day, so that the greeters can contact you. Check in. On check in, the person in whose name the booking was made will need to: provide their photo ID, and sign a registration form confirming the receipt of remotes, keys and parking permits and your acceptance of StayCentral Terms & Conditions; including the authorisation for StayCentral to charge guests via Airbnb for any expenses as described in the above Terms (briefly outlined below, under Security Bond. Pet stays NB: Many of our properties, (including this one) are pet-friendly, but only with approval, and as long as they are quiet, and do not damage or climb on the furnishings! The pet stay fee is $135 (base rate) plus $5 per night per pet. SECURITY BOND Airbnb may charge guests for any damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, food or rubbish removal, or for relocation of items moved. Anything that has been used or moved needs to be returned to where it came from.

Don’t even bother staying anywhere else, this place is absolutely perfect! So big, and encapsulates everything I like about Melbourne, from the heritage warehouse conversion, the space, the neighbourhood, the quiet environment, it was a home away from home, I would definitely book back to stay here again! The photos actually don’t do it justice

The apartment was better than we expected. It’s a beautiful and trendy 2x2 apartment so close to all the cities restaurants and night life. Its also a short stroll over the river to the Southbank restaurants and entertainment. We will be booking it again for our next stay.
