The Weekender is a contemporary space,38sqm with stunning views all round step through the door and relax. The decor is stylish, comfortable, a beautiful haven to sit and contemplate the breathtaking surroundings from. Described by a recent guest as "The most beautiful small space they'd ever stayed in" It can be difficult to do anything here other than unwind. But if you can drag yourself away from this little gem it's a great place to explore North Cornwall's diverse delights from. The Weekender really is a delight, tucked away with views that will take your breath away. My clever husband built this little beauty last year and it evolved into something unique. With our skills and experience in various design projects we have created something we feel is very special. The interior is both cosy but spacious and is filled with lovely finishes that give a high quality and a fabulous feel. It is a very romantic hideaway - ideal for couples. It can be hard to leave to explore the area as it is possible to just sit for hours and and enjoy the space.

The "Weekender" is not just for the weekend. It's in a remote location but only 10 minutes from civilisation. I spent 6 fabulous nights there and explored Bude, Widemouth Bay, Clovelly, Port Isacc, Tintagel and Boscastle. Crackington Haven Bay is just a few minutes in the car and a must visit. The views from the varanda will melt your heart and are a true reflection of a Cornish settlement from years gone by and of today with Sara and her family now the settlers. The "Weekender" is perfect for a couple who appreciate a cliff top location with amazing views and walks to nearby surroundings. This is a very high specification Hideaway perched up high at the back of Sara's property and you won't be disappointed. Personally I missed not having a clock or a microwave but I'm sure if I'd asked Sara she would have sorted something out. I had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely go back if ever I wanted to visit that part of Cornwall again...
It's difficult to describe The Weekender. Our expectations were completely exceeded. The view over the meadows and the sea was great. We were stunned by the sunsets on the terrace. Sarah, Richard and Alan were great hosts. We will definitely be back.
Cannot actually describe how beautiful the place is. The cottage, the location, the view just amazing. Sara is a lovely host gave us lots of recommendations for walks etc. It was just perfect getaway for us. Worth the 5 hour drive from London! We will def be back. Cannot recommend enough. It really is a gem of a place.

We had an amazing weekend here. We would 100% return. It is a cosy little place, perfect for 2. The views are incredible. The cabin has everything you need. Perfect location to visit many places in Cornwall. Thank you Sara!

Crackington Haven lies in the Parish of St Gennys in North Cornwall. It is a wonderful escape from the hectic side of life. If you don't feel like venturing too far then there are wonderful short and long walks right outside the door. The Weekender sits right on the Southwest coast path - arguably - on one of the most beautiful and dramatic parts of the coast both North and South right here. Crackington has 2 cafes and a good pub - eat and drink overloooking the beautiful beach and giant cliffs. There is a good local shop / PO and a garage just 3 miles from here where you can purchase most things to keep you going! Bude is just 10 miles from The Weekender which is a lovely seaside town with some good shops to wander around and plenty of cafes. Boscastle and Tintagel are approx 6/7 miles south of Crackington offering picturesque harbours, castles and villages. Port Isaac (Port Wenn) is approx 40 mins drive where the popular Doc Martin is filmed - you can wander the tiny streets and recognise your favourite bits! Padstow and Rock are fairly close by with Rick Stein's delicious Fish and chips being the first port of call especially if you've cycled the Camel Trail from Wadebridge or beyond. Further afield are many places to explore The Eden project is about an hours drive and well worth a visit. Closer to home on the edge of Bodmin Moor are Roughtor and Brown Willy- 2 fabulous walks / scrambles with beautiful granite features to admire. Roughtor car park is just a 25 min drive from The Weekender it can be hard to tear yourself away but it's definitely worth the effort.
There is a parking space available- not allocated specifically for The Weekender but there's plenty of space available for our guests.

I grew up here at Cleave Farm from the age of 6 and despite numerous attempts to leave I was always pulled back to my roots. It is such a beautiful part of the world if you haven't experienced the wonder of Crackington Haven yet then maybe now is the time. We have had returning guests for 28 years. Crackington does something to your soul! But watch out you may get hooked!
