The cottage was easy to find by Uber. A nice, clean, and spacious property with a large and secure outdoor space. We enjoyed walks in the surrounding areas and easy access to the city centre by taxi services. It was also very useful to have access to 3 bathrooms for a large group including 3 teenagers. All the appliances that we required were available and functional.

We loved the house, excellent location for seeing Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Good bus route and the house was well equipped with plenty of space and storage. Our host was fab at communication, so overall would recommend.

The cottage is in an excellent location between Arthur’s seat and Portobello beach; you can easily walk to both. There are bus stops nearby so you can get to Portobello or into the city centre without taking the car. The cottage is great for a large family, or two families, and all 4 bedrooms are a good size. The kitchen is well equipped with modern cookers, dishwasher and washing machine. The garden area is securely enclosed so you can let your dog out without worry. The Sheep Heid pub is close by and well worth a visit, while Portobello offers a wide range of places to eat and drink.

Très belle longère située au pieds du volcan. 4 chambres magnifiques dont 2 avec salle de bain. A 40 minutes à pieds d’Holyrood Palace. Un arrêt de bus juste à côté vous emmènera au centre d’Edimbourg. Bon rapport qualité/prix pour un effectif de voyageurs conséquent.

This place was amazing! 3 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms worked out so well for our 6 guests, 2 of which have limited mobility. Well decorated bedrooms with comfortable beds. Light weight blankets folded at the end of the bed was a nice touch, as some sleep hotter than others and do not need a heavy cover. Biggest plus was the amount of bathrooms and the accessibility for those with mobility issues. Living area was large enough for all to comfortably sit and visit. Kitchen was spotless with modern appliances. Microwave is under the oven. All manuals were in drawer under the television. Close enough to provide access to restaurants and stores. Beefeaters Restaurant was very good. Domino’s Pizza and Morrison’s Supermarket were 5-10 minute drive from the property. Home was exactly as described on the website. Loved staying in a beautiful piece of history. Look for the yellow gate or you may miss the entrance like we did. Will hopefully return again someday!
