A taste of country living in the heart of Edinburgh. This unique property sits directly on the Meadows. It has its own entrance and garden situated next to south Edinburgh’s largest area of green space. There is no street, so no street noise - just the sound of birds singing in the morning - which means you will have tranquillity during your stay in Edinburgh. And you’re only 20 minutes walk away from the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Our place is for you if you enjoy rustic, unique properties with a bit of history! The cottage was built for the former cooper to the old Boroughloch Brewery which closed about 50 years ago. There are only two like it in Edinburgh (they were formally one building) and it forms one of the sights on the South-side sightseeing trail! We're suitable for couples or small families. Our bedroom is upstairs and has a double bed (UK double size 137cm x 190cm). The sofa bed in the lounge can be converted into a small double (UK small double size 120cm x 190cm) for a 3rd guest. You access the lower part of the cottage through the private garden. The garden sits directly on the Meadows and there is only pedestrian access. Downstairs there is a small hallway leading to a well equipped kitchen and living room with log burning effect gas fire and sofa bed. There is also a TV (with a chrome cast for watching the apps via your phone). Downstairs there is also the bathroom with bath and shower, shampoo and shower gel supplied. A set of stairs takes you up to the sunny, spacious master bedroom with views over the Meadows and to Arthur's Seat beyond.
