When you book in I will give you the best directions to my place depending on your mode of transport to Edinburgh and estimated time of arrival. I will also be here to give you the best advice on getting around the city.
From Airport:
Take the Tram or Airlink 100 bus to Princes Street (35-40 minutes)
From Princes Street stop (near the Mound / Scots Monument - my place is a 10 minute walk, or 2 minute bus ride
From Waverly train station:
Walking (15 minutes)
From Waverly station walk on to Princes street, turn left, go past Scots Monument towards the Mound on Princes street and cross road onto Hanover street (5 mins), walk straight down the road onto Dundas street (approx. 10 minute walk), or 2 min bus ride from Hanover Street
If you have heavy luggage there are local buses and taxis.
From the Bus Station:
Walking: (14 mins)
From bus station, turn left onto Queens Street, past the Scottish Portrait Gallery, then turn right onto Queens Street Gardens, walk straight down the hill (10 minutes walk)
Or Bus (2 minutes): take the 27 or 23: from Thistle Street stop.
Parking options: Free parking at weekends from Friday 17.30 until Monday 8.30
There is free parking overnight every weekday night, from 17.30 to 8.30
It is metered parking on my street and nearby streets Monday to Friday: From 8.30 to 17.30, metered parking £2.40 per hour, maximum stay 4 hours during the day.
I can’t guarantee you a space but guests have never had a problem finding one close to my place.
