Thank you for an excellent getaway. Enjoyed the birdsong and rustic cabin. Fireplace made it cozy and warm. Lovely location and would recommend. :)

Staying at Moonshine Bush Valley Eco Cabin was a pleasure. The communication with Tania was clear and helpful. The Cabin is calm, warm and earthy. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and easy. It felt grounding to be surrounded by the bush and to hear the birds and stream nearby. Relaxing in the outside bath was particularly appreciated, with the wonderful view of the Milky Way at night. The potbelly fire crackling away inside in the evenings was a treat. We enjoyed walking up the ridge bush track accompanied by Wolf and Tui. Up the top, we got to view Upper Hutt in the sunset light. Our two-day stay at Moonshine Valley was just the mini-retreat we needed. Oh, and Tania’s marmalade on our toast was scrummy!

Had a lovely 3 night stay, the photos don’t do the space justice in my opinion! We were very comfortable and enjoyed our time however there were mice (?) in the wall by the bed that kept us up at night. Much to my gratitude we didn’t see any, but oh did we hear them!!

Such a nice place - quiet and perfect. The bed was comfortable, a couple friendly dogs and a very nice trail right out the back yard. Everything you need for basic cooking, microwave, refrigerator and BBQ grill. The outdoor bathroom is private and was definitely fun taking a warm shower with a view of the bush. Easy Uber ride from the airport and close to the train. Next time I am in the Wellington area - will book this place again.

This cabin was absolutely perfect. quiet, serene, surrounded by nature, beautiful sound of the nearby stream. beautiful sunny deck to relax on. Absolutely loved the outside tub under the stars. By far the best weekend escape I have had in a long time. I have left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and happy. I'm so grateful 🙏
