Katie was a great host, super football and responsive. The location is great with it being a short drive to the centre of Edinburgh city centre.

Katie and Charlie are phenomenal hosts, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer to soak up more of their warm and generous hospitality. The bed was so comfortable and I stepped out of the private bedroom door to a chorus of birdsong. Highlights were drinking tea together, having spring lunch at the farm-to-table restaurant down the road, playing with their sweet dog Rue, and hiking in the Pentland hills during lambing season. I can’t wait to return.

Like staying with old friends, you needn't worry about the wild Scottish weather as the warm welcome provided by Katie and Charlie more than compensates for that. Katie and Charlie were highly attentive hosts and answered my many questions about the city and the walks in the surrounding area. The farm stay is conveniently located just a short walk from The Free Company Seasonal Restaurant, which emphasizes eating seasonally, locally, and regenerative farming. If you have time during your stay, you must go. It is the perfect compliment to any trip and one of the best dining experiences I have been fortunate enough to experience. Coming to Edinburgh for a work conference, the farm stay was the perfect retreat. It is the only place I would want to stay if I were visiting the city again.
