(Spare mattresses available for larger groups) A "Pack n Play" crib for the little one. Cook your meals in a Volcano inspired kitchen. Stocked with everything you need to make home cooked meals for your Ohana. Enjoy the custom shower with a, nearly, 20" rainfall shower head while standing on smooth river rock. The bathroom is completely handmade and features a turtle mosaic, a lava rock sink and river rock details. Or, enjoy the views of nature while unwinding in the private outdoor shower. Relax and have a Mai Tai on the large lanai (Patio) while soaking in the view of the stars and Virgin Rainforest. The home is Off-Grid and self sufficient. Solar electricity with automatic backup generator. Water is provided by collecting the Rain and filtering it. Hot water and cooking is provided by Propane. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is an amazing peaceful place that’s also well within reach of Volcano National Park and Hilo. Day 1 was total relaxation then days 2 and 3 were amazing hikes, scenery and capped off with a beautiful helicopter tour. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates a beautiful, quiet retreat. The night sky was amazing.
Perfect place for our family of 5 to stay while visiting Volcano National Park. We had a peaceful 2 nights but would’ve been nice to even stay a little longer. Well stocked kitchen made it nice to prepare meals to have more time to spend in the home during the evenings. Our 3 boys loved exploring the property and playing the games provided.
Volcano Home it is. It’s fun to watch the episode about this Volcano Home on Discovery Channel while staying in it. It’s a very private off the grid experience for us. Joshua is friendly and has great recommendations of the activities.
This was a really good place to stay while seeing volcano national Park! Being off grid was a different experience. Everything was seamless, even though we were not hooked to the rest of the world! My friend and I slept better than we have in a long time! It was very peaceful.
The Volcano House was a great secluded place to visit. We loved all the jungle sounds that lulled us to sleep. Very peaceful and beautiful. The house is very well equipped even if it is off the grid. We never had any issues with power or water while we were there. All the natural touches throughout the house were amazing and brought the outdoors inside. The beds were comfortable and there are plenty of games and movies to watch. Thank you for being the highlight of our vacation!

In an agricultural neighborhood on the side of Kilauea Volcano and about 20 minutes from the entrance to the National Park.
The home is Off-Grid (Solar, Rain water and no Wifi, cell phones do get reception) and very private. Rurally located about 5 miles from Hwy 11 and 1.2 miles from the Pu'u O'o crater, backing to the Volcanoe's National Forest, this is the perfect place to get in away from the city and get in touch with nature.
Private and secluded on 3 acres of natural Hawaiian Rainforest, you can enjoy your own little piece of Paradise!
At more than 300mi. In circumference, You will want to rent a car to get the most out of your Big Island Vacation. The home is on a maintained gravel road that any vehicle can access, 4WD IS NOT NEEDED but, can be fun for getting to other locations on the Island such as the Mauna Kea Observatory.
