Looking to get away from your normal day-to-day household? Need a quiet space to “work from home"? Come to our quiet studio & walk down to the famous Alki beach or hike at Schmitz Park nearby. Unwind on the deck & watch for whales while enjoying great views of Puget Sound & mountains.Guests love our oasis that is still close to all Alki & Seattle has to offer Studio is ground level suite with own separate entrance, which is on opposite side of owners entrance. Located in a hillside area, but manageable. Free street parking on back & side of the house. No cooktop in studio due to insurance. Just imagine if you could wake up and see the ocean and hear the seagulls in the morning? Or, possibly sight an orca or some resting seals? Our studio offers you a true beach oasis getaway , minutes walk to Seattle’s infamous Alki Beach. FEATURES: This is a 450 square foot studio suite in the lower half (above ground basement suite) of our home. We live upstairs, but the studio suite has its own separate entrance on the opposite side of our entrance-- enables true privacy. You get exclusive use of the front patio overlooking the ocean as seen in the display picture. Morning views of the mountains and beach are always guaranteed, along with majestic evening sunsets. Brand new queen sized bed promises a comfortable night's sleep. Full private bathroom with a standing shower (no tub) with all your natural shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We do NOT HAVE A FULL KITCHEN/stove cooktop. Please see below what we do have in our kitchenette and space. Many of our guests don’t find this to be an issue as they’re always out and about sightseeing or dining nearby. INCLUDED: Microwave, mini fridge with small freezer, coffee maker, water kettle, toaster, flat screen TV with ROKU system for access to Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, & plenty of other channels. Suitcase rack, 2 freestanding fans, towels, sheets, duvet blanket, pillows, full sized dresser, space heater. Plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses, wine & beer opener, eating utensils, coffee, teas, sugar, salt and pepper. Natural shampoo, conditioner, lotion, 2 umbrellas, iron, ironing board, steamer, hairdryer, emergency kit, fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detector. Diffuser with essential oil for your use and a welcome basket with some travel essentials. Also available is our welcome binder with taxi contacts, local restaurants and business', emergency contacts, bus routes and schedules, ferry schedule, and other pertinent details to help facilitate a comfortable stay. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Summer time on Alki Beach is the best! The pirates come to Alki during Seafair weekend, the Art Walk happens on the occasional Thursday , bonfire pits are free to use and salsa dancing are some of the fun events that occur on Alki. Oh, and Taichi every Saturday morning from 9-10am. Winter brings about calm and relaxing walks along the beach. Many coffee spots for your warm cup of joe including Starbucks, Top Pot Donuts and Tully's. ALKI BEACH : 400 feet away (Literally 1 minute walk to the beach) WATER TAXI: 1.5 miles (scenic walk along the beach) BUS & SHUTTLE STOP: 100 feet away from studio RENTALS: Sport rentals such as kayaking, biking, and scuba diving are also available at the water taxi station. Kayak and Bike rentals are available on the Beach during the Summer months. Highly recommend renting the tandem double Surrey bikes and take it along Alki Beach. Less than 10 minutes to reach downtown Seattle (sans traffic) and only 25 minutes from the SEATAC Airport. Key-less entry. No hassle of losing keys as no keys are required :) Code to keypad will be sent via email a few days prior to arrival. We respect your privacy and know that this is your vacation. We also love meeting new people, so you just let us know if you'd like to be greeted in person and we'll swing on by! Otherwise, we are always available by phone, text, or email. All restaurants on Alki Beach are a short walk away, as are local shops, and there's a water taxi just a little further off. Alki Beach is a beautiful public sandy beachfront and location to numerous celebrations in the Summer months, including the Seafair Pirate landing party. All Summer long, you'll see bonfires, beach volleyball & kayakers. Head to the hip urban village at West Seattle Junction to enjoy many small shops, restaurants, and bars giving West Seattle an eclectic & community vibe. The free #773 or #775 shuttle is just steps away from our house and this will take you directly to the water taxi station (water taxi station is 1.5 miles walk otherwise). The Water taxi is 10 minutes ride to downtown and cost is about $5 per person, each way. Shuttle and water taxi run on limited schedules during the Weekends & Winter, sometimes not even in service so please inquire and check their website before booking if that's important planning of your trip. You can also rent these new but reliable city bikes that are left around. Just download the app (SPIN or LIME Bikes) and find out where the nearest available bike is, then leave it in any spot once done. Rate is about $1 per 30 minutes.- very economical and practical way to explore and get around our beach neighborhood :) Uber, Lyft, Car2Go are also viable options. ReachNow is also available with SmartCars, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzs and Mini Coopers. ReachNow is a one and two-way rental car solution that can be parked and left at our house. Approximate cost is $0.41 a minute. Traffic can get pretty heavy on the West Seattle Bridge if you're getting onto the I5- BUT one of the best parts about living here in West Seattle is the the "hidden" routes and surface streets you can take to avoid the traffic jam on the WS bridge. Parking downtown Seattle is always free on Sundays and Holidays. Otherwise, parking ranges from $2-5/hour and about $20 per day for parking garages. -There are 9 steps with no hand railing to get up to our studio entrance. Please keep this in mind for late night arrival and suitcases. The auto light sensor will come on at night to aid in the night time arrivals. -We live in a very hilly area where certain parts are steep. It is definitely manageable, but not recommended for elderly or people with slight disabilities. -We do not have a washer or dryer in unit. -No Air Conditioning Unit. -We have radiant in-floor heating and it will take a couple hours for the heat to rise to your desired temperature. -We do not have a full Kitchen. No Stove/cooktop. PHOTO SHOOTS OR FILMING* *The studio does rent for photo shoots and filming but this is NOT included in the vacation rental fee. Photo/Film shoots are a different price structure, and require acceptance of filming contract. Failure to obtain written authorization will result in full forfeiture of the Fees and Security Deposit.

Custom built space with eco-friendly sustainable materials. This place is tucked away in what feels like the country in the city...enjoy a morning with fresh coffee on the rocking chair porch and relax listening to the sounds of birds. Nice quiet space with nearby park cheer from time-to-time. This is a dog loving property with friendly neighborhood pooch's hanging out, so if you are afraid of dogs, please give us proper notice so we can accommodate. Guest access to the Gazebo, Island, 2-acre Trails and Treehouse is by APPOINTMENT ONLY for the time being - we are renovating and finishing many-a-things and will open them up for public use and fun asap. We are friendly people who respect privacy. We consider new visitors new friends and try to meet all our guests so you feel comfortable with the surroundings and enjoy them even more. We're happy to offer friendly guidance, info and support (discount for writers and artists who stay and create and share)! We really want you to enjoy your time with us. There is 3 additional buildings on the property so friendliness is a must. Nested between a park and suburban neighborhoods, the three acre property off a small graveled lane, is embraced by limited residents and undeveloped forest areas that create a secluded, quiet and private vibe. Right outside the house's gates, is a trail leading through the woods to the park for peaceful walks under giant cedars, maples, pines, and douglas firs. Giant rhodedendrons, mossy trees, and native plants bring a variety of wildlife to the property and neighborhood. Close to both 405 and 520. Walking distance to Microsoft! The bus system is within close walking distance as well and there is a path to Grasslawn park right out the door and through the woods. There's also the bike trail leading to the burke trail just a few neighborhoods away. Bike friendly and we're tuning a few of ours to also offer to our guests...stay tuned on that perk. This is a 1-bedroom facility (3-ish story) with a loft and day bed all within the same air-space as the queen main bed. So if you plan on having 4 people stay (family) you'll be bonding even more so! Bring your story books and ear plugs if you're planning on sharing the space. :) And if you're planning on taking advantage of the sofa bed downstairs in the living room - get ready to wake with the sun! East facing beds for sunrise alarms available pending the season. There are too many windows to count... Also please note that this house has many imperfections and really is more of an art project. Expect lot's of "character". There are many areas that could be better and we'll continue to improve them as we can invest in them. In the interim, we just think they are kinda cute and enjoy finding joy in our faults and imperfections. We appreciate your feedback and support by staying with us and hope to add to your enjoyment of the area and space.

Curl up in front of the gas fireplace and unwind with a book or your favorite show on the huge smart TV. Great Room Layout: The main living space is light and airy, arranged in an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings. Leather couches ground the living room and provide a cozy space to curl up and read, work on a laptop, watch satellite TV, or enjoy the gas fireplace. From the living room, sliding doors open unto a large view deck which overlooks Alki Beach and has 180 degree views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. You'll love using the gas grill to cook the fresh salmon you bring back from the Pike Place Market. Prepare the rest of your dinner in the gorgeous designer kitchen with cherry cabinets, granite counters and stainless appliances-at the heart of the great room, then gather around the long dining table to savor a bottle of wine and great company. Cozy up in the living room to catch up with the world on our fast wifi network, stream programs on the smart TV or tune into cable, or sip a glass of wine with your traveling companions. The large dining room table provides a place to share gourmet meals whipped up in the spacious, bright kitchen or on the gas grill. This is a two-bedroom house. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and door that opens onto the patio and hot tub area. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed and serene reading area. The house's one bathroom has a large claw-foot soaking tub with shower. Conveniences: fast WIFI, smart TV with cable and streaming capabilities, washer & dryer, coffee & tea, all bedding, towels, and robes for the hot tub provided. We live nearby and are always available by text, phone, or e-mail, but otherwise respect the privacy of our guests. It is a short walk to Alki Beach, which is one block away, or the local shops and restaurants. Venture slightly further afield to explore downtown or go even further for some wonderful outdoor adventures. Parking: Admittedly difficult. Our garage was built along with the house in 1910 and is very small. On-street parking is not available on our street. If your car can't squeeze into the garage, it might be necessary to park up to a block away. Alternatives: Uber cars and taxis are readily available all over Seattle. Guests can catch a shuttle bus on Alki Ave that will take them directly to the pier where the water taxi departs for downtown Seattle. The regular Metro bus stop is also just about a block from the house.

The home is walking distance to the Seattle Center, tourist spots, restaurants and shops. Disclaimer: We have a strict no pet policy. Because we have family members with pet allergies, this restriction also includes service animals and “emotional support animals.” Sorry. This is a newly constructed three bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhouse in Seattle. It has views of the Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier and downtown from a private deck. It's great for families who wish to explore this destination city. Entire home Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. We travel often and have help managing guest services for our home while we are away. The townhouse is located in the lower Queen Anne area, walking distance to a plethora of Seattle's most popular destinations. From tourist attractions to waterfront parks, local shops, bars, and cafes, there is a lot to explore on foot. This townhouse home is near expressway I-99, which is very convenient if you have a car. If not, public transportation is also easily accessible from this home. Of course, Uber and Lyft drivers are also abundant throughout Seattle. Public transportation and Zip Cars are a couple of blocks away. At home entertainment with Sling TV, Netflix and Amazon TV. Ultrafast wifi! There is one designated, compact parking space that will fit a compact or midsize car. If you have a larger car or have difficulties with parking in narrow spaces, we advise that you park on the street which is free.
