Located in close proximity to the Hebridean Way, Sandig is ideal as a base to visit such sites as the Callanish Stones, Garenin Blackhouses and Doune Carloway Broch. Carloway is also home to two stunning beaches, Dal Mor and Dal Beag, and is ideal for hillwalkers, cyclists, surfers, birdwatchers, or even those looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings.

Our cosy garden glamping pod is situated on the westside of Lewis in a village area called High Borve. This area is very quiet, ideal for people looking to chill out and relax. The pod is located in our garden area at the front of our family home. Parking for the pod is at the rear of the pod. It's a lovely little pod to relax in after a day of sightseeing around the island. If you are looking for somewhere basic to rest your head for a couple of nights, then this is ideal for you.

Tach I Count Cottage

Taigh Iomhair was originally a stone built thatched 'blackhouse'. It first appears on local historical records in 1814, but it is likely it was built in the latter half of the 18th century. The main structure of the house has not changed in over 200 years, but the property was internally refurbished in 2019, including new bathroom, kitchen, flooring and furnishings. The thatched roof was replaced many years ago, but the house still retains a character from a bygone crofting era.

Originally a Hebridean White House the property has evolved through the generations to attain a comfortable contemporary standard while keeping its authentic character. Bayview Croft House was built in the 1930s and has remained in the same family ever since. It is a traditional two bedroomed detached holiday cottage with the world famous Callanish stones right on its doorstep. If you are an outdoor enthusiast there are many local beaches and areas of outstanding natural beauty all within easy reach. As well as good opportunities for fresh and salt water fishing within walking distance. Sorry we do not take pets.

Eggs from the hens will be in the cottage for you and more can be bought if wanted. Peace and quiet plus walking tracks out the hills from the door.
