A detached stone cottage in the heart of the north Pennines. Stunning views. With fantastic footpaths, cycle routes straight from the door for those with plenty of energy as it is hilly. Great base for exploring the area. With pubs and coop 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Recently renovated to a high standard but still feels characterful and cosy. Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.

The cottage is comfortable, a multi stove log burner and stunning views. Has it's own Balcony in peaceful area. Secure garden. Doggy guests warmly welcomed. Walks on the doorstep based on the borders of Northumberland, Co.Durham and Cumbria, ideal for a range of jaunts in the region. Butterfly Lodge our converted cart house is also proving a hit. Situated beneath an old Elm tree this bespoke Shepherd's Hut is surrounded by wonderful views of Teesdale that can be enjoyed from the comfort of the hut, relaxing in the wood fired hot tub or sitting around the fire pit. This Hut encourages indulgence as well as simple living. Sumptuous interiors, good sized bathroom with a heated towel rail. A generous dining table and comfortable upholstered chairs. Fully equipped bijou kitchen, comfy king sized bed and electric heating for extra cosiness.

Outside is a patio garden & furniture. Enter via a double height dining hall, to an open plan kitchen and living room, traditionally furnished with exposed beams and deep window recesses. Downstairs is a large bathroom (bath & walk in power shower). Upstairs two large bedrooms with reading chairs.

The lower floor has 3 bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room and a unique glazed wall, which provides views into the drive room , which features cog wheels and pulleys. Perfect for a couple, the accommodation consists of one bedroom , cosy sitting room, a well equipped kitchen and modern shower room . There is a pretty garden with a bbq area and also a storage shed suitable for storing bicycles. Mickleton is a small village close to both Barnard Castle and Middleton - in - Teesdale .There are good country pubs close by and scenic walks .

Low Green Barn is a converted barn, attached to our family home and located in the middle of the village of Mickleton. Before booking, please bear in mind we offer limited cooking facilities, with no oven or grill. We can provide you with local recommendations for eating out. Driveway parking is shared with owners and can accommodate one guest vehicle. Owners Tessa and Dave live in the adjoining main farmhouse and are available via text/in person if needed.

Cotherstone has 2 country pubs, & Barnard Castle is a lively market town with many independent retailers, restaurants & cafes.
