La Maison is a Heritage Scottish bungalow originally built in 1888 restored into a Boutique homestay with a charming French touch in Kotagiri, located nearby Ooty, in the reputed Nilgiris hills of Tamil Nadu. We offer spacious rooms with a unique sensibility, as our decor combines antique colonial style furnishing with modern and contemporary art.
Situated in the middle of a large and quiet valley with a 360 degrees view from an extraordinary location. Atop a hill, in the best climate in the world, with a light daily breeze, and the freshest air. The perfect get away from the urban air pollution and business. La Maison is where the world ends, and your vacation dreams come true. Surrounded by gardens, evergreen tea plantations, forested mountains, and plains 1300 meters down, there is endless possibilities for long nature walks. Whether you would like to wind down on our premises, with a book from our large library collection, or engage in limitless adventures of treks to local tribal villages, and interactions with wild life, we await you in the relaxing environment of La Maison.
Our cuisine includes french and indian cuisines, we offer vegetarian and non vegetarian options, as well as accommodate for special diets and food allergies. We use fresh seasonal local produce, and herbs from our garden to enhance your culinary experience.
LA Maison provides 4 double rooms only( limited nos. of beds can be added on request ) with luxurious comfort, all with access to the covered veranda... and Wifi. No TV, the host is the entertainment…
Benoit is the perfect host, moved to this part of India over 10 years ago from France, Benoit warmly welcomes his guests, as friends he has yet to meet. Open to sharing his passion for classical french music, the arts, birds and gardening, conversations with him are delightful, as guests can learn about the vision behind La Maison.
