The property has views of Scapa Flow and is surrounded by a garden that leads to it's own Beach and River. The land includes a woodland area and wild flowers, 6 acres in total. Wild life includes: Orca's, Otters, Hen Harriers, Sea Eagles, Seals + many sea birds. On clear nights stars adorn the heavens.

Castlehill, Sanday

Entire house on the island of Sanday with views of Loch Bea at the rear. Sanday is reached by ferry or plane from Orkney Mainland. Next to a working farm, Castlehill has three large bedrooms each with double bed and one has two bunk beds. Also two bathrooms, a large kitchen-diner and sitting rooms with a double sofa-bed. The Sanday dial-a-bus operates a ferry pick-up. A shop and pubs are close. The nearby loch is good for trout fishing. Sit-on-top kayaks available to hire. Life vests provided.

The loch has a circular walk complete with bird hides, remember to bring your wellies!. The cottage is close to the Italian Chapel, Scapa Flow and the Churchill Barriers. Ideal for those who are interested in fishing as well as birdwatching. A great retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Self-catering accommodation in a converted byre, set in the grounds of our family home. Five minutes from St Margaret's Hope ferry terminal. A perfect location for viewing local wildlife or visiting some of Orkney's world-famous Neolithic archaeological sites such as the"Tomb of the Eagles", or wartime sites such as Hoxa Head gun emplacements or the Italian Chapel.
