Guest room in my Hollywood Hills home. Private bathroom, flat screen TV, California King bed (my friends call it the W Hotel Suite). Contemporary house....the architect also designed Jackie Collins' house in Beverly Hills.
My house is located in the heart of the Hollywood Hills, just five minutes from the world famous Sunset Strip, 10 minutes from shopping on Rodeo Drive, 15 minutes from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Dolby Theater (Academy Awards), and 20 minutes from Universal Studios. With reasonable traffic, it is about 40 minutes to LAX.
There are many good bars and restaurants and shopping in the Sunset Plaza area of Sunset Blvd (5 minutes away).
Parking is easy on the street at my house. On a clear day, the view from my house reaches across the city and all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
NOTE..I DO NOT INCLUDE BREAKFAST IN THE LISTING. THERE ARE GREAT RESTAURANTS NEARBY OPEN 24 HRS. BECAUSE OF SOME DAMAGE FROM GUESTS IN THE KITCHEN I ASK THAT THE KITCHEN NOT BE USED. THE GRAND PIANO IN THE LIVING ROOM IS ALSO NOT AVAILABLE FOR GUEST USE.
ALSO...I HAVE TWO GUEST ROOMS LISTED ON AIRBNB SO THERE MAY BE OTHER GUESTS IN THE HOUSE AT THE SAME TIME. PLEASE ASK IF THAT IS AN ISSUE FOR YOU.
Guests must be able to arrive before 10PM or the reservation request may not be accepted.
The laundry room is available for use by guests staying 5 nights or more.... not before 8AM and not after 8 PM
Lost key fee is $50 that will be requested from security deposit.
Starting August 1, 2016, Airbnb will be adding 14% occupancy tax to the fee charged and will submit it to the City of Los Angeles.
If your arrival at LAX is 9PM or later, it means you will not likely arrive at my house until 12AM after getting luggage, rental car, etc. I may ask for your arrival time and if you are unable to be at the house by 10PM or so I may not accept the reservation request. (I have had guests show up at 3AM)
This guest room is on the lower level of the house and does not have direct terrace access, etc. like the other listing. (no view)
The guest room is suitable for one or two persons only...not 3 or more.
In the guest room there is a book, I call it the 'green book' in which you will find local restaurant ideas, transportation, etc etc that is relevant to your stay at my house. Most guests find it helpful.
My residence is on famous Hollywood Blvd, but not the commercial part of the street that everyone knows. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area, high in the hills but still just minutes from the Sunset Strip. Breakfast is not included. The picture on the home page is my living room...that is not the guest room. Check pictures section for guest room pictures.
Public transportation is not terribly convenient from my house. You really need a car to get around at your convenience in the Los Angeles area. Uber and Lyft are also both easily available, and very affordable as an option.
When you arrive, please make sure you are at the correct address. The house number 8824 is on the front of the house above the garage door. (I have had guests go to the neighbor's house). Please send a text message when you arrive.
