Our self-catering thatched guest lodge in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, is famous for it's stunning views of the Drakensberg mountains, the Kamberg & the Mooi River which our guests have access to at the property. This is a nature-lovers' paradise where guests can enjoy bird-watching, fly-fishing and one might even spot some buck which frequent our property. We are known for our hospitality and love welcoming visitors to the beautiful Midlands Meander. We have solar however cooker is not powered.

We are completely off the grid with our own fresh spring water, solar power and a hot gas shower, have a break from load shedding! Enjoy panoramic views of the Drakensberg mountains and a cosy wood fire with a good bottle of red, all the makings of a fabulous getaway!

Ideally located just minutes from several wedding venues on the Midlands Meander such as Enfin Estate, Brahman Hills, The Gallery, Providence, Fordoun, Netherwood and others. Surrounded by farmlands and a beautiful view overlooking the dam (bring a rod!🎣 ) you’re sure to rest well and likely be woken up to the sounds of the birds… and possibly the chickens!

The Cobb Lodge, built using local organic materials as a place of tranquility & reflection, is on our 2000 Ha Sherwood farm that has been in our family since the 1850s. It's a wonderful safe place where guests are invited to walk, run or cycle the many paths, bathe in the sparkling Karkloof river and tributory streams, or simply re-energise in the clean air and soak up the African sun on a working farm. The lodge is so secluded and ideal for romantic getaways, families and naturists, enjoy!
